During our 3rd year, we had a Writing Week, and throughout those 5 days, our teacher made us work on several Writing Projects. Among them, one of the most important was creating a universe, around which we built and wrote several things.

Chapter 1: Our World
We were a team of 5, and after brainstorming, we began to build our world.
The universe is settled on a planet with a geography similar to the Earth, the difference being that this world is in constant transformation. Meaning the earth is always terraforming on various scales, from a desert moving its borders to mountains forming overnight. Various stellar phenomena also endanger the planet, like comets or meteorites.
The population is divided into 3 factions :
- The Under-Earth: living under the earth, they arranged the galleries in living spaces. They examine and analyze what's happening underground to predict the future changes of the planet.
- The Travellers: they journey around the planet, they're messengers, merchants, carrying information and supplies between the factions. They're the most informed about what's currently going on on the surface since they're always the first to see them.
The Travellers and the Under-Earth are also called the "Ground Factions".
- The Aer Factio: they live in the sky, at high altitudes under or above the clouds. Like the Underground faction, they study the meteorological or stellar phenomena in order to predict what could hit the planet and how the climate can impact the planet. They live aboard zeppelins.
Chapter 2: A Character
After building a world in group, we each had to create and write about a character from one of our factions.
I decided to focus on the Aer Factio and I created the character of Adélaïde.
Adélaïde is an aspiring astromancer, meaning she wants to study the stars and other stellar phenomena. She also works on aircraft prototypes, she wants to create more efficient machines.
She's a bit reckless and impatient, sometimes she infuriates her teachers but she's gifted in her field of study and has an excellent memory. One of her main "fault" is that she has a terrible sense of balance, which is quite problematic when you live at high altitudes in a Zeppelin.

Chapter 3: An Encyclopedic Article
After creating a character, we had to choose a faction and write an encyclopedic article about it. I'd already chosen to focus on the Aer Factio and I decided to describe their lifestyle, how the fleets are composed and what kind of scientists we find up there.

Chapter 4: Script
Our next exercise was to write a script about our character.
I'd actually never written or worked on a script, so I had to learn some of the rules. It was very interesting to focus on the dialogues, being very brief and efficient on the descriptions, and to be descriptive on the blocking (or didascalia).
Synopsis: Adélaïde decides to sneak out at night to see the stars, little does she know she isn't as discreet as she thinks.

Chapter 5: An Interactive Story
Our teacher gave us the task to write an Interactive story on Twine, with 3 different ends and several choices throughout the story. After writing a little synopsis, the introduction and what could be the different ends, I focused on the different paths and how to make them coherent with each other.
Synopsis: An unexpected meteor shower hits the Fleet and Adélaïde is supposed to evacuate immediately.

Chapter 6: Short Story
Finally, our last exercise was to write a short story about our universe. I continued to write about the Aer Factio and Adélaïde. I already wrote short stories, so it was easier to slip back into this context.
Synopsis: Lloyd tells the story of how Adélaïde almost gets killed because of her parachute.
